ICT in
teaching has greatly helped the learners to get motivated to carry out the
given tasks without any difficulties. It also changed the atmospheres of the
classroom completely whenever the ICT aids are introduced in the daily teaching
and learning purpose.
On 23rd
October, I had a lesson in class VI on the topic Stem and leave plot. It is in
the first period of 50 minutes. I recapitulate last lesson and introduced the
day’s topic by asking some recall questions. Then I told them to choose two members
from team and said that they will find the information on stem and leave from internet
and share to other members, as they are done accompany them to office, open the
computer and browse the net on the topic. Help them with finding web pages and
others. Rest of them they read the text in
the class.
After that the two members from team return
back to class and shared what is stem and leave plot how it is plot to their
friends. While they share I walked around and listened to them. I have seen
they were doing very well as they clear their doubts and share what is there in the text book too.
In the activity part I asked them to solved questions
1- 2 from practicing and applying. They did immensely well. In the closure also
I put on the chart with points on stem and leave plot and make them to read. At
same time I encourage them to use their parent’s phone for finding more information
on topic they learned in the classes rather than playing games.
Lastly as I mentioned earlier I would love to
integrate ict in my lesson to enhance my teaching and learning plus change for learner.

Though you have a limited ICT facilities in your school but you have made best used of it by taking the group leaders from each team to office letting them explore and later made them share the collected information to the rest of the students which is good(creative) way of integration of ICT in your lesson.I should say that such ideas has to be explore depending upon the availability of redources to enhance teaching learning processes.Keep it up and keep exploring more ideas in future too.

Madam, You have said that your school has limited ICT facilities but you have made best used of it by taking the group leaders from each team to office letting them explore and later made them share the collected information to the rest of the students which is good way of integration of ICT in your lesson actually. But I am not happy with this statement in your post.
ReplyDeleteStudents are deprived from getting such opportunity. Felt pity on those students those who didn't get the chance.

DeleteNice topic that is related to ICT tools which you have used. You made your children to explore and get ideas from internet, that is good. I noticed that equal opportunities were not given to each child you just selected two, this may demoralize other children. Equal opportunity is must.
ReplyDeleteThough ICT has lots of merits in teaching and learning process but some schools like your face the challenges of limited resources. But still its good that you have used the available resources. Here I felt that only two students got the experience of ICT integrated lesson but rest of students it's similar to our normal lesson, but it's good to know that you asked them to browse net on their parents phone which is also part of ICT integration.... Hope you have done the follow up in your next lesson

ReplyDeleteICT is an unavoidable tools for teaching learning process and a life long skill, but due to these type of problem, like lack of resources, it's not I integrated appropriately in the schools. Dispite of these problems you made it. At least some of the students got the opportunities to fiddle with computers and they are even asked to use their parents smart phones. Nice try madam. Keep it up.
