On 6th September, 2019 in the fifth
period, I taught class five Mathematics on finding area and perimeter of a
rectangle. Before the session the materials were set ready to carry out the
lesson effectively. The lesson began with asking what a rectangle is and what
do you mean by perimeter? Then recapitulate the last lesson by letting them to
share their understanding of the last lesson.
Then I played the video using projector as some of
our colleague recommended .Ask children to watch carefully as they have to do
the activity after watching the video clip. I found that they are paying full
attention and watching the video. Children love to see things by their own
eyes.
After watching the video clip the class had
questioning and answering task. Children were asked some questions from the
video clip. Next they were ask to do question number 1 from practicing and
applying on page number 123 as class work. As they carry out the activity, I went
around and look at their work they are doing pity good. It seems they enjoyed
the lesson and clears with the concept.
I felt that using projector is more convenient for children than laptop or desktop as it has bigger screen and they see very clearly. Thank you for remainder friends. It is very true. Using ICT in our lesson is helpful and fruitful in learning as well as in teaching.

Its glad to learn that its easier to teach or give the clear concept of the particular topic in mathematics using ict than chalk and chalkboard.
ReplyDeleteKeep implementing and make our furure citizens perfect in mathematics where they can implement through out their life. Thank you madam.
It's true that teaching of mathematics can also be by using ICT and there is a shift in usage of TLM as well as chalk and chalkboard. Sometimes concepts which are difficult can be easily given through ICT. Great work keep going and want to see more usage.
ReplyDeleteYes Mam as I suggested in last time post, now you have used it in your lesson. It's good to know that you have used it and went your lesson effectiveleffectively. These are one way of learning through ICT. Keep it up and hope to hear in next post.
ReplyDeleteWow, it's great madam. You have taught mathematics using ICT skills and facilities. There is a shift in usage of TLM as well as chalk and chalkboard to ICT gadgets.
ReplyDeleteSome concepts which are difficult for both teacher and students can be easily taught through ICT.
It's just a great work, keep going and want to see more usage in coming posts madam.
Really nice to see you teaching mathematics using ICT where our children builds love for learning.Great work, keep going.
ReplyDeleteFinding the area and perimeter of a rectangle was well enhanced by the use of projector.I too felt the enjoyment of your lesson.Keep it up madamji...
ReplyDeleteClassroom with digital learning tools greatly influence the teaching and learning. Thus, employing Such ICT application plays a pivotal role in teaching learning processes.
ReplyDeleteSeem nice lesson. From my own experience, teaching mathematics through ICT is very effective. As we need to do a lot of explanation, and that too again and again, it is so tiring. So if we use ICT like the way you have used (video clip), its effective and moreover we feel relive too.
ReplyDeleteMost mathematics teachers consider that they cannot use ICT tools to teach maths which was of wrong message. It was clearly proved from your lesson.
ReplyDeleteThank you
Really nice to know that integration of ICT works with all the subjects and our students were benefited from 21st century teachers. Well done and keep going la
ReplyDeletegood use of ict. keep going.
ReplyDeleteClassroom with ICT greatly influence the teaching and learning. Finding the area and perimeter of a rectangle was well enhanced by the use of projector. Now I learnt that the concepts which are difficult can be easily given through ICT. Keep implementing the ideas la.
ReplyDeleteOfcourse man
ReplyDeleteUsing projector would be farsighted far better and easier to use in our teaching.
You did a great job.
This time most of our friends have use ict to teach mathematical concepts. I learned so many strategies to teach the concepts of different mathematical topics. Now, I am bit encourage to take a maths classes hereafter. Keeo moving forward.
ReplyDeleteSeems your children had very cordial lesson as they watched short clips to make the concept very clear. You have also instructed learner to pay attention to the clips as they need to carry out an activity after watching the clips. Now a days providing extra information through audiovisual has become famous and widely accepted by learners. But we need to remember that the clips need to be brief and focus to the topic as well as with simple and clear language.
ReplyDeleteVideo clips where people from US or UK speak are sometimes difficult to understand.
ReplyDeleteGood use of video clip to teach the topic. We can pause and reteach if children do not understand.
ReplyDeleteICT is very useful tool for teaching and makes teaching realistic. The way you have used ICT in your teaching is relevant and looks students reallly enjoyed the lesson.
ReplyDeleteWow! really nice to see that you have integrated and used ICT tools for different subject than many of us. With the implementation of these ICT tools, skills and techniques our students were benefited a lot.
ReplyDeleteWell done and keep going madam with the same spirit ever.
