Fourth Reflection on use of ICT in class room teaching.

ICT ( Information and Communication Technology ) facilities have truly evolved and made a drastic change in the world of Education. It is really true that teaching and learning process is much better using ICT facilities  for people involving there, whether a teacher or a learner. I am saying this because when taught  pre primary class using ICT on 20th September in the 3rd period, on Extending pattern they were very happy and excited.

I arranged every thing ready and the began the lesson by revising the last  lesson.Then I talked about colour ,shape and position patterns and also the core of the pattern.After that I introduce the days topic extending the pattern. I explained them what is extending with examples.

Then I let them watch the video clip using the projector.They were watching video clip very attentively.But I found some children face difficult to cope with so, I played the video for once more. At the time I was little worried also as those children who had clear understanding may disturb others but all the children enjoyed for second time also. That is one of the power of ICT  I found.

After that when I asked them to do the task from their activity book they did very well.Using ICT in our lesson really enhance our teaching la.

    Extending patterns through Ict enhancement could be motivating for learners as I could sense through your sharings that we can impart different pattterns and extending patterns unlike without using Ict.I have learnt a clue...thanks

    You have used video to teach your children. It's good to know that you have achieved your lesson fruitfully. I am sure that ICT can take us everywhere and we learn more. Same thing can apply to our children so go on using ICT.

    Video can convey the intended message of the lesson effectively. Some children learn better through the use of various ICT tools.
    However, I found some downloaded video is difficult to understand by children, since it is narrated by foreigner. Thus, I suggest you to use video tutorial which can be prepared by ourselves in accordance to the children's level and needs.

    Teaching through ICT will be more effective than normal traditional teaching. This is because today's young learners are exposed to different ICT tools and they also catch up quickly when integrated with ICT in our lesson. Especially our PP children likes and loves to learn through audiovisual. You have chosen the right tools. One thing I would suggest you is to provide instructions before screening the clips and do the continuous monitoring with guidance.

    In the age of ICT born children they learn faster through ICT. Because they learn better through visual rather than traditional method of teaching learning process.

    it's great madam. You keeping touch with ict ti impart the lesson. There is a shift in usage of TLM as well as chalk and chalkboard to ICT gadgets.
    Some concepts which are difficult for both teacher and students can be easily taught through ICT as you have done. From your article, I learned some tips to teach mathematics in lower primary.

    It's just a great work, keep going and want to see more usage in coming posts madam.

    The facilities that we get in the school at this age is the first best part and teaching things through ICT has made our work much more attractive and interesting.
