On
21st August, 2019 in the first period, I taught class six
Mathematics on finding area of Triangle. Before the session the materials were
set ready to carry out the lesson effectively. The lesson began with asking what
is triangle and types of triangle. Then also revise the last lesson on area of
parallelogram. Children share their knowledge of triangle and the last lesson.
We stress on the area of parallelogram and the formula A= b x h.
The lesson developments activities begin with
attention grabber and followed by instruction for the activities. There were
three activities included in the lesson as per the plan. First activity they
watched the clip through laptop. I didn’t use the projector as we have less
number where they can be comfortable with computer. Then they shared what they
understood from the clip and the last they solved the questions from practicing
and applying.
After
watching the clip when I listen to each child their sharing they did great job.
Many they got concept very clearly that area of triangle is ½ of bh. At the
same time they could solve the questions correctly.
By
making the use of ICT in the lesson, I have found many children take interest
in learning through discussion sharing and so on. They also improve visual
skills and on top of that they enjoy the teaching.

Well planned leason. Use of ict in teaching mathematics will surely boost the interest towards learning math. Keep going.
ReplyDeleteYou used the ICT in mathematics. It does wonderful job in learning process. Great work and keep going.
ReplyDeleteGood lesson as children learn better when we use something new. They can remember the concept very well as they have seen with their eyes.
ReplyDeleteConcrete materials are needed to provide clear concept especially in mathematics subject. You did it but I think if you use projector it would have help students to see better pictures. Students may be felt congested with one laptop.
ReplyDeleteYes sir concrete materials are needed to give the clear concept in Mathematics. It is very true ,and as you mentioned I will use projector next time. Thanks for your time la.
DeleteSeems interesting lesson. Good job and keep going.
ReplyDeleteWell planned lesson. Since you have used only one computer I doubt that how your children might have got option to use practically given the limited time of our session. Anyway I found it was interesting lesson and your children ave graved lots from the lesson.
ReplyDeleteThis application certainly aid students to process the required information meaningfully.
ReplyDeleteIt seens you had fruithful lesson as it is evident from the post. You have used attention grabbers in between the lesson to kill their boredom which is one of the strategy to keep them awake. It is a good idea. On other hand, your children are fortunate that they will have more exposure to ict as you have less number of students in the class. Keep going.
ReplyDeleteIt was great idea to use ict in teaching mathematics. Great job madam
ReplyDeleteYour Maths lesson on finding the area of a triangle was facilitated by ict and seems students enjoyed your lesson.Keep infusing ict whereever possible in your lesson to make it interesting...
ReplyDeleteMam
ReplyDeleteOnce I used to thi k that only rhymes and anything to do with song and music can be interesting through ICT when it was quite not famous in our country but now everything seems to be very interesting through ICT.
I am also planning to do my second blogging on a lesson on Mathematics and going through your success story I know it will definitely work with mine.
Great job.
It sounds that use of ict in classroom teaching has great impact. As i could see students were engross in learning through video clip.
ReplyDeleteYes wai children are so engross. Thanks for going through my post and comment la.
DeleteYou have tried using ICT in teaching your lesson, found your students really enjoyed which is a sign of improvement in learning. Please, keep integrating ICT in teaching your lesson, which is must for 21st century learning.
ReplyDeleteThankyou for the comments la.
DeleteI think with the help ICT our students might improve the level of their understanding in mathematics, and will come up with great out come too. Till date mathematics seems to be the toughest subject for our Bhutanese students especially classes four and above but now if each and every one of us could integrate ICT in our maths class it will surely help our learners la... Well done and kind of motivation for us too
ReplyDeleteIt is very true mam.Mathematics is tough and many they don't like it.But with ICT integration it is helping them and hope they will love the subject and learn more. Thanks for going through my post.
DeleteThrough your write ups I think your lesson might have been interesting. I too am convinced that ICT can really change the teaching and learning ambiance.
ReplyDeleteWow ...Trashi delek to you for posting such a valuable sharing in your blogger. It is nice reading your post. I know teachers can do better if not best if we really put our effort.
ReplyDeleteIt was a great idea that you have incorporated ICT in teaching mathematics. I know that you had tough time to make this lesson to this story never the less it was a beautiful lesson. Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteIt was a innovative way of using ict in the classroom. I felt it was excellent idea. Your idea of ict usage will definitely benefit our learners. I got so many information from your post.
ReplyDeletethank a lot for sharing. i found it very informative. Keep going madam.
ReplyDeleteICT do help us teach more effectively. Good to know that your students learnt very well. Keep going!
ReplyDeleteWell planned lesson with integration of ICT to provide clear concept of the topic.
